Foxy and Friends began in early 2006 after owners, Adrienne and Kevin, decided to bring in a new addition to their family. After searching and learning everything they could about all the unique dog breeds, they fell in love with the silly eared, awkward legged, and bobbed tailed breed of the Pembroke Corgi. Before long, little blonde Foxy came along. Soon after, Adrienne began buying all sorts of cute collars, shirts, and bling for Foxy to wear. At first, Kevin thought she was being ridiculous, but entertained the idea. Plus, he really did think it was pretty cute deep down but just didn't want to admit it. Once the closet filled up with Foxy's clothes and she even had her own little spot for her shoes, her owners decided that it might be something others would enjoy and talked about starting a business.
Almost immediately after it was discussed, the owners opened a small boutique in their local mall. Right off the bat, the store seemed to be a hit in the community, and people brought their dogs in to try different clothing and collars on. Not only was it a business, but it was downright fun! Adrienne, Kevin, and a handful of employees ran the business for two years, slowly building a clientele, creating a website, and eventually started to design and make their own products.
Unfortunately in early 2008, Adrienne's grandfather became very ill with Alheimers disease. It was very sad to see him slowly lose touch with the business that he had spent 20 years building. Eventually he couldn't run it anymore. Adrienne and her mother were offered to take over his business, or otherwise it would have had to have been sold. Adrienne decided that she must keep his business alive, and rose to the task. In doing so though, Foxy and Friends, the retail store would have had to have been close down. At the time, both Kevin and Adrienne couldn't run both businesses, even with the help of Adrienne's mother.
In October of 2007, Adrienne and Kevin closed the doors to Foxy and Friends the retail store. Fortunately in doing so, they were able to realize their true passion of designing and manufacturing their own product line. While running Adrienne's grandfather's business, they began designing and working on the side to create Foxy and Friends, the wholesale store. They constantly kept the idea in mind that they wanted to create super cute couture pet products for affordable wholesale prices. They remembered how frustrated they were when many wholesalers charged ridiculous prices for their products. After about six months of hard determined work, Adrienne and Kevin finally felt like they realized their dream, and succeeded in designing the cutest pet products for the most amazing wholesale prices.
