Overview
The privacy of your personal information is important to us at Foxy and friends. Information about our customers is a vital part of our business, and we do not believe in selling it to others. By visiting Foxyandfriends.com, you are accepting the practices described in this Privacy Policy. This Policy may change from time to time, so please check back periodically.
Foxyandfriends.com allows you to buy products, enter contests, receive discounts, and receive newsletters, emails or other promotional information from us. We use the information that we collect about you to fulfill your product purchases and to create an enjoyable online experience.
From our site, you may visit other merchants through links who may collect and use your personal information. In those cases, the third-party merchant's privacy policy will govern how your information is collected and used.
Third Party Agents
We employ other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf. Examples include fulfilling orders, delivering packages, sending postal mail and email, removing repetitive information from customer lists, analyzing data, providing marketing assistance, processing credit card payments, and providing customer service (collectively these companies and individuals are called "agents").
They have access to Individual Information needed to perform their designated functions, but may not use it for other purposes. For example, we must release your credit card information to the card-issuing bank to confirm payment, and release your address and telephone information to the delivery service to deliver products that you ordered. If customers do not pay us for products ordered, we may submit their account information to a third party collection agency.
Third party links
In an attempt to provide you with increased value, we may include third party links on our site. These linked sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content or activities of these linked sites. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these linked sites (including if a specific link does not work).
Third-Party Sites
Please be aware that our site may contain links to other sites on the Internet that are owned and operated by third parties. The information practices of those sites linking from or to our site are not covered by this Policy. These other sites may send their own cookies to users, collect data, or solicit personal information. Please consult the privacy policy of each site. Foxy and Friends is not responsible for the policies or practices of third parties.
On occasion, unaffiliated third parties will "frame" our site in an effort to collect customer information. To ensure your privacy, make sure that your order originates from the offical Foxy and Friends site. Foxy and Friends is not in any manner responsible in the event that you do disclose information to an unaffiliated framing site.
Do we disclose the information we collect to outside parties?
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information unless we provide you with advance notice, except as described below. The term "outside parties" does not include FoxyandFriends.com. It also does not include website hosting partners and other parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others' rights, property, or safety. We reserve the right to report to law enforcement agencies any activities that we believe to be unlawful.
What We Collect
In order to provide you with an extensive product selection and a great shopping experience, Foxy and Friends collects two types of information about its visitors: Individual Information and Non-Individual Information. Our primary goal in collecting this information is to fill your order, respond to your requests, communicate with you, and improve our site.
Individual Information
Individual Information refers to information that is specific to you. Personal information is requested when you register and set up an account, order a product, enter contests, and send us feedback. We store any information that we receive from you. This information might include your name, billing and shipping addresses, telephone number, email address, credit card or other payment information, and product details. With this information, Foxy and Friends can fill your orders, communicate with you about your order, send you promotional materials, and provide you customer service.
If you contact Foxy and Friends by telephone, email or letter, we may keep a record of your correspondence or comments. If you report a problem with our site, we may collect such information in a file specific to you. If you contact us through our feedback area or by calling one of our customer service representatives, we may ask for your name, email address and order information to reply to you. If other users or third parties sends us correspondence about your activities or purchases on our site, we may keep the information in a file specific to you.
If you enter a contest, sweepstakes, drawing or other promotion, we may provide entry information, including name, address, email address and age to the company providing the prize or sponsoring the promotion. They may use your Individual Information to send you marketing or promotional materials or other communications.
We may send you emails regarding current promotions, specials and new additions to the site. You may "opt-out," or unsubscribe from our newsletters by sending an email to info@foxyandfriends.com. If you agree to receive emails from any of our third party service providers or any third party merchants on our site, you will receive separate emails from them, and information that you choose to disclose to them will be subject to their privacy policy and not that of Foxy and Friends. If you later decide that you no longer want to receive their emails, you will need to follow their specific opt-out instructions.
Non-Individual Information
Non-Individual Information refers to information that, by itself, does not refer to an individual. We gather information about where our customers shop on our site. This information is compiled and analyzed on both a personal and an aggregated basis. This information may include the Web site's Uniform Resource Locator ("URL") that you just came from, which URL you go to afterward, what browser you are using, and your Internet Protocol ("IP") address. On an aggregated basis, we collect anonymous data related to the pages, products, downloads and other content that is sampled, clicked on, streamed, searched for, transferred from and downloaded. We also track customers' traffic patterns throughout their online session, including which pages and information a customer views while using the site and what items they place in their basket or purchase. We use your IP address to diagnose problems with our servers, software, to administer our site, and to gather demographic information.
How do we protect visitor information?
We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information. Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. When you place orders or provide your personal information, we offer the use of a secure server. All sensitive/credit information you supply is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our databases to be only accessed as stated above.
Cookies
Like many web sites, we use "cookies" and obtain certain types of information when your Web browser accesses our site. Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to your computer's hard drive through your Web browser to enable our systems to recognize your browser. The Help portion of the toolbar on most browsers will tell you how to prevent your browser from accepting new cookies, how to have the browser notify you when you receive a new cookie, or how to disable cookies altogether.
The Credit Card Payment Process
The "Credit Card Payment" page is ENCRYPTED using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) web server technology. To verify security, you should be able to see a picture of a small lock in the lower right hand corner of your browser screen. This means that your information is secure and safe.
At this time you will be asked to provide your Credit Card information. We accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and American Express.
When all of your information has been entered, click on the "Check Out" button at the bottom of the page. At this time, our web server will initiate an ENCRYPTED connection with the Authorize.Net credit card verification service to either approve or deny your transaction.
If your transaction is approved, an e-mail receipt is generated by our web server and sent to us and to the e-mail address you provided. Your credit card is charged at the time of your original purchase.
NO PAYMENT INFORMATION IS INCLUDED VIA E-MAIL
In fact, the only way your payment information can be accessed or viewed is through the Authorize.Net service over an encrypted connection. This information will only be accessed or viewed in the event of an order cancellation, subject to the term and conditions for returns and exchanges.
Precautions to Protect Against Loss, Misuse, or Alteration of Your Information
In order to most efficiently serve you, credit card transactions and order fulfillment are handled by established third party banking, processing agents and distribution institutions. They receive the information needed to verify and authorize your credit card or other payment information and to process and ship your order.
We work to protect the security of your information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts information you input. We reveal only the last four digits of your credit card numbers when confirming an order. We transmit the entire credit card number to the appropriate credit card company during order processing.
It is important for you to protect against unauthorized access to your password and to your computer. Be sure to sign off when you are finished using a shared computer.
Within Foxy and Friends, your information is kept on password protected, limited access servers. Wherever possible and applicable, Foxy and Friends servers reside behind a corporate firewall that maintains controls on access to the system from both our internal network and the Internet.
Children's Privacy
If you are under 18, you may use Foxy and Friends only with the assistance of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect, use or disclose Individual Information about visitors under 13 years of age. If you are the parent or guardian of a child under 13 years of age and believe that they have disclosed Individual Information to us, please contact us at info@foxyandfriends.com so that we may delete the child's information.
Sale of the Company
Foxy and Friends reserves the right to disclose your Individual Information in the event that the company is sold, in whole or in part, either as an entire corporate entity or through an asset sale that includes a customer information database. This right is reserved whether or not the customer database is sold independently of any continuing operations of such company.
Conditions of Use, Notices, and Revisions
If you choose to visit Foxy and Friends, your visit and any dispute over privacy is subject to this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use.
This Privacy Policy was last updated on May 16, 2007. Unless otherwise stated, our current Policy applies to all information that we have about you and your account. If Foxy and Friends makes changes to any terms or conditions of this Policy, the changes will be posted in this document so that you will always know what information we gather, how we might use that information, and to whom we will disclose it. We may change, modify, add or remove portions of this Policy at any time, and any changes will become effective immediately when posted on Foxyandfriends.com. We stand behind the promises we make, however, and will never materially change our Privacy Policy to make it less protective of customer information collected in the past without the consent of affected customers.
